Inauguration of Social Justice Cell and Constitution Day Celebration- 26/11/24

             

 

College level Social Justice Cell organized the formal  inauguration of its  activities during this academic year.  The S J C volunteers also celebrated the constitution day.  Central  Government Additional Standing Counsel Advocate K Sreekumar inaugurated the programme. Advocate Sreekumar spoke about the relevance of the Constitution in daily life and the constitutional morality that we should practice.  College Principal Dr. SR Rajeev presided over the function. He well explained the essence of  Indian Constitution and its  beauty and strength in  embracing India's diversity. Alappuzha Probation Officer T. Anavadya detailed more about the Social Justice Cell and its various interventions in society. College Union General Secretary Fathima Hakeem pointed out the importance of student participation in social care activities. College Social Social Justice Cell Co- ordinator and  . M. V Preetha, Assistant professor,  History Department welcomed the  gathering and administered the Oath. The students pledged that they will be committed to maintaining equality, secularism, and democratic values.  Mithun Krishna, the volunteer leader of the cell, delivered the vote of thanks.

PHYSICS FUNDAMENTALS LIVE - Demonstration of Basic Physics Experiments for School/ College Students , Organized by PG Department of Physics

The department of Physics TK Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara hosted to inspire and educate school students about fundamental physics concepts through interactive experiments, promoting curiosity and interest in science. To introduce high school students to fundamental physics concepts through hands-on experiments and demonstrations. To spark interest in physics and encourage further exploration of the subject. Around 100 students participated in the event. All the faculty members and BSc and MSc students participated. Interactive sessions encouraged students to participate and ask questions. Hands-on experience with materials and equipment sparked enthusiasm. The event aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, making physics accessible and engaging. We're thrilled with the positive response and look forward to future outreach initiatives.

The demonstration was a resounding success, achieving its objective of inspiring school students to explore physics. We plan to continue such events, fostering a love for science and encouraging future generations of physicists.

  The Department of Economics hosted a seminar on Friday, November 8, 2024, focusing on an overview of the securities market and prospects for career growth. Following the registration, the event commenced with a prayer. Lt. Seena V, the program coordinator and head of the Department of Economics, delivered the welcome address. Principal Dr. Rajeev S. R. then provided the presidential address, setting an inspiring tone for the proceedings. The event was graced by Assistant Prof. Preetha M. V. (Head of the Department of History) and Assistant Prof. Sheeja S. (Department of Economics), who played a significant role in the program's success. The keynote address was expertly delivered by Sri Manoj T. Neelakandan, a Personal Finance Trainer and AGM at IDBI Bank, as well as a certified trainer for SEBI. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Devananda, a student of III BA Economics. In total, 90 students participated in this enriching experience
