First Semester (2025 Adm.) PTA Meeting @ Department of Commerce, October 2025.

 


                          

                      




 Parent-Teacher Association meeting of the BIS & Finance class was held on 31 October 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Seminar Hall. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Berny B Raj, HOD, Dept of Commerce, in the presence of the Principal Dr. Rajeev. S. R. The meeting began with a welcome address by Divya P. Bhadran, Tutor of S1 FYUGP Finance. The chairman highlighted the significance of maintaining consistent student attendance and discussed measures to enhance their classroom participation. The Principal addressed the parents and shared details regarding the conduct of the S1 FYUGP examination, emphasizing the need for effective academic preparation. Further discussions were held on various  class related  matters, including upcoming Exam, academic activities and parent engagement in supporting institutional initiatives. The session witnessed active participation and valuable feedback from parents. The meeting concluded at 4:00 PM with a vote of thanks by Anisha U., Tutor of S1 FYUGP BIS, expressing gratitude to all participants for their cooperation and involvement.

The Department of Zoology at T K Madhava Memorial College (TKMM) continues its tradition of fostering intellectual curiosity and staying abreast of global scientific breakthroughs. As part of a college-wide celebration of the Nobel Laureates, the department recently organized a highly informative session focusing on the monumental achievements in medical science.

​The session centered on the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, which was jointly awarded to Dr. Mary E. Brunkow, Dr. Fred Ramsdell, and Dr. Shimon Sakaguchi for their groundbreaking discoveries concerning peripheral immune tolerance.
​The event's highlight was an engaging presentation delivered by third year Bsc. Zoology student, Krishnaja A,  demonstrating the department’s commitment to academic excellence and student-led learning. ​ The presentation, focused on the trio of laureates who cracked the code of how our body prevents its own immune system from turning destructive—the basis of autoimmune diseases.

The event, organized by the Zoology Department, was a resounding success, serving not only as an academic exercise but also as an inspiration for the students to pursue research and contribute to the rapidly evolving fields of biology and medicine. It showcased how even complex, cutting-edge Nobel-winning research can be clearly and passionately communicated by the next generation of scientists at TKMM College.​The presentation provided a clear breakdown of the discoveries that earned the 2025 Nobel Prize in Medicine.

Lifting Spirits High: TKMMC's Jithina A. Jayan Selected for All India Inter-University Weightlifting Championship!


We at T. K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara, are bursting with pride and excitement to announce a monumental achievement by one of our own! Jithina A. Jayan, a brilliant student from B.Com, 3rd year CA, has been selected to represent the Kerala University Weightlifting (Women's Team) at the prestigious All India Inter-University (AIIU) Weightlifting Championship!

​This elite competition is set to take place in Bhopal, and Jithina will be showcasing her incredible strength and dedication in the 48kg Category.

             T. K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara, is celebrating a monumental triumph in sports as our student athlete, Jithina A. Jayan (S5 B.Com CA), brings home significant accolades and earns a coveted national spot!

                   We are thrilled to report that Jithina first secured a sensational victory by winning the Gold Medal in the 48kg Category at the Kerala University Weightlifting Championship! The competition, held at the esteemed University College, Trivandrum, saw Jithina outshine her peers, demonstrating superior technique and unwavering focus to clinch the top spot.

​Her Gold Medal performance established her as one of the best weightlifters in the university circuit, bringing immense pride to our college and the entire Department of Physical Education.

​Following her outstanding gold medal win, Jithina's stellar performance earned her a well-deserved spot on the Kerala University Weightlifting (Women's Team)!

​She has been officially selected to represent Kerala University at the highly prestigious All India Inter-University (AIIU) Weightlifting Championship. Jithina will compete in her winning class, the 48kg Category, at the national level event to be held in Bhopal.

​Our students brought home a spectacular haul of medals, showcasing their grit, discipline, and competitive spirit:

​Vishnu S: This talented athlete clinched the Gold Medal in the 1500 M race and added a Silver Medal in the 5000 M event, proving his dominance in long-distance running.

​Abhay Anand: A versatile powerhouse, Abhay secured Silver Medals across three heavy throwing disciplines: Discus Throw, Javelin, and Shot Put.

​A huge round of applause to Vishnu S and Abhay Anand! Your dedication is an inspiration to all students at TKMM College.

​T. K. Madhava Memorial College is proud to nurture students who are not only academically proficient but also socially responsible citizens and champions in the field of sports.

First Semester (2025 Admn.) PTA meeting @ Department of Mathematics

   





The PTA meeting of S1 Mathematics (FYUGP 2025 Admn.) commenced at 2.15 p.m. on 24/10/2025 with tutor Smt. Sinumol S welcoming everyone. The Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev S.R delivered the presidential address, highlighting the significance of the course and emphasizing its affordability compared to other professional programs while ensuring quality education - a lifelong benefit for students. The Principal also explained that the FYUGP curriculum offers multidisciplinary, skill enhancement, and ability enhancement courses, which together provide a strong foundation for future career growth.

Following this, the tutor gave an overview of the academic details. The importance of attendance for course registration was stressed. Details regarding the first-semester syllabus, examination pattern, and internal marking scheme were shared. It was also announced that model examinations would commence in the second week of November. The Heads of the departments of Malayalam, Hindi, and Statistics then presented brief explanations about their respective courses. Department faculties Smt. Renjini S (FYUGP coordinator) and


Dr. Dhanya Shajin were also attended the meeting. After the interaction with parents, the meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the tutor, after which parents and students were directed to meet the MDC faculty in their respective departments for further interaction.

Our dedicated student-athletes have not just participated—they have conquered, bringing home an impressive total of five medals!

Rhythm of Unity – Department of Mathematics @ Freshers’ Day 2025

               


                            



The Freshers’ Day for the first-year FYUGP students was held on 16th October 2025 in the college auditorium. The students of the Department of Mathematics actively participated in the celebration, showcasing their enthusiasm and talent. Sivani S. and Malavika S., students from S1 Mathematics performed a vibrant and powerful fusion dance in collaboration with students from the P.G. and Research Department of Physics, which captivated the audience. Their energetic performance was one of the highlights of the event, bringing smiles and applause from everyone present.

The programme created a wonderful atmosphere of togetherness, unity, and cooperation, reflecting the lively spirit of the college community. Such coordinated and enthusiastic participation made the event truly memorable for all.

                       Our Social Justice Volunteers Unit proudly provided crucial assistance at the Assessment Camp organized by the District Social Justice Office, Alappuzha, on 15/10/2025.​Volunteers Govardhan A, Aadarsh R Satheesh, Abhijitha K, Priyananda M, and Aishwarya Sinu were instrumental in ensuring the smooth and dignified execution of the camp's social welfare objectives. They managed registration, helped with documentation for welfare schemes, and ensured the comfort and mobility of senior citizens and persons with disabilities.​Proud of our students for putting social justice into practice!
