A Fond Farewell to Our Colleagues Transferred to Various S.N Colleges from the Staff Association, TKMMC






           The Staff Association hosted a heartfelt farewell for the teachers and office staff who were transferred to various S. N. Colleges this academic year. The event commenced with a moment of silent invocation. Association President,  Divya P Bhadran warmly welcomed the attendees, followed by a presidential address delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev S. R., the College Principal. The transferred staff then took the opportunity to share their cherished experiences and fond memories at TKMMC. The gathering concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Preetha M. V.

Social Justice Cell members participated in the seminar "Rising Issue of Mobile and Drug Addiction among Youngsters" conducted by the Social Justice Department of Kerala as part of the Ente Keralam exhibition.

    


                              


The seminar focused on the rising issue of mobile and drug addiction among youngsters. Experts shared valuable insights on its impact and suggested effective preventive measures. It was an informative and eye-opening experience that encouraged us to adopt a balanced and responsible lifestyle. Preetha MV, Social Justice Cell  co- ordinator along with students participated in the event. Aswathy P,  Shreya Lekshmi, Prejith P Adithyan S, Aishwarya S, Govardhan A, Shalu S and Meenakshi Sathyan  are the student delegates to the programme.

District Level Awareness Programme on Indian Constitution @ TKMMC





 




A District level Awareness Programme on Indian Constitution was organized by N.S.S Units (Alappuzha & Pathanamthitta) and T K M M College, Nangiarkulangara on 03 March, 2025. 
About 50 NSS Cadets  from various N.S.S Units in Alappuzha & Pathanamthitta 
attended the workshop.

National Science Day Celebrations 2025 organized by Science Club in association with various Science Depts.& Library , TKMMC

 National Science Day Celebrations 2025

             











The official inauguration of science day celebrations commenced with an invited talk. The session started with a prayer by physics choir. The coordinator of the program Dr Induja I J, Science club coordinator & Assistant Professor, Department of Physics welcomed the dignitaries. Dr Vinod Haridas, Principal in charge chaired and delivered the presential address. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Biju S, Dr. Brahmaprakash Professor, VSSC, Thiruvanthapuram. Dr.Biju also delivered a talk about India’s space missions Dr Parvathy U, IQAC Coordinator felicitated the program and Smt. Saranya Babu, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics conveyed vote of thanks.105 participants attended the session. Apart from this, colouring competition for UP students and also science kit making competition for high school students were also conducted. 

Over 11 students participated in colouring competition from various schools in Alappuzha district participated in the competition. The first, second and third prizes for colouring competition were Devadarshan (Std.6), Bishopmoore Vidyapedam, Kayamkulam, Adwaith Krishna (Std.5) ,Vidya public school, Karuvatta and Jancy Anna Cheriyan (Std 7), Bethany Central School, Nangiarkulangara .




5 students actively participated in Science kit making competition. Adityan B and Famidha, Bethany Central school bagged first prize.

In the afternoon session a quiz competition was conducted by Mathematics Department. Both students from UP and High school sections participated in the competition. Mukhil Sajan and Gautham Krishna V, Ambalapuzha Govt. Model HSS bagged first prize. Over 7 teams participated in the competition.

Another landmark moment for TKMMC, as we bagged 66th Rank in Kerala Institutional Ranking Framework (KIRF)


                       The Kerala Institutional Ranking Framework (KIRF) is a set of metrics for the ranking of higher education institutions in the State and is, based on the agreed parameters approved by the KSHEC. T K Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara has secured 66th position in the rank list.

Audio Podcast and Film Review Competition as part of World Radio Day Celebrations Organized by Media Club & Film Club on

 On the occasion of World Radio Day 13-02- 2025,    Media Club in association with Film Club  organized  Audio Podcast Competition and Film Review Competition. About 20 students from various  departments participated in the competitions and all participants were provided with participation certificates. 
 

Essay Writing Competition as part of National Women's Day Celebration (13.02.25) organized by Literary and Debate Club in Association with Communication Skill Development Club


 On the occasion of World Women's  Day 13-02- 2025,    Literary & Debate Club in association with  Communication Skill Development Club  organized  Audio Podcast Competition and Film Review Competition. About 20 students from various  departments participated in the competitions and all participants were provided with participation certificates.

Whodunits and Why: Unpacking Crime Fiction in Popular Literature - DARSHAN Lecture organized by Department of English






                                  The Department of English, in collaboration with the IQAC, proudly hosted a lecture as part of DARSHAN 2024-25  on January 29, 2025, in the Seminar Hall. The event began with a heartfelt prayer led by Makarand Maheswar V S,  (III B.A English). Sukanya Suresh (II B.A  English)   followed with a warm and engaging welcome speech, setting a positive tone for the gathering. Prof. (Dr) Rajeev S. R., Principal-in-Charge, presided over the proceedings, while Dr. Arshad Ahammed A., Assistant Professor and Research Supervisor at M. S. M.  College, Kayamkulam, delivered an insightful lecture on the  topic : Whodunits and Why: Unpacking Crime Fiction in Popular Literature.  The session concluded with a vote of thanks expressed by Ms. Anjana Swaraj (III B.A English)  . Approximately 100 students and faculty members from various departments attended the lecture, marking the event as a resounding success.

SEMINAR ON RENEWABLE ENERGY & ITS FUTURE ORAGNIZED BY ENERGY CONSERVATION CLUB IN ASSOCIATION WITH RESEARCH & PG DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

 




           Research PG Department of Physics in association with Energy Conservation Club conducted

a seminar on Renewable energy and its future on 16-1-25 at Seminar Hall. The program starts

with the prayer of Physics choir. Smt.  Saranya S Babu , Assistant Professor, Department of

Physics welcomed the dignitaries. Dr. Rajeev S R., Principal chaired and inaugurated the

session. Ms.  Lakshmi S ,I BSc student conveyed vote of thanks. The lecture about LED was

done by Sunfocuz solar developers. About 50 students from all disciplines attended the

seminar.

NSS AWARDS FUNCTION 2022-23 @ CLIF, Karyavattam - TKMMC grabs Awards for Best Programme Officer, Best Unit & Certificate of Appreciation for Volunteer






                 


                        Six NSS volunteers and Program Officer Preetha MV attended the Award function at CLIF, Karyavattam campus Thiruvananthapuram. The University Of Kerala in recognition of the services, conferred the best unit award on TKMM college. College also bagged the best unit award for Vimukti activities, program officer Preetha MV best program officer award for the same for the period 2022-23




Volunteer Charukes K. Priyesh received the certificate of appreciation for the exemplary services rendered to the National Service Scheme and fostering the spirit of volunteerism during  the year 2022-23.
