Conduct of My Bharat QUIZ as part of VIKSIT BHARAT QUIZ and Slogan Writing Competition as part of NASHA MUKT YUVA
Objectives:
• To create awareness among students about the vision of Viksit Bharat and the role of youth in nation-building.
• To encourage students to develop leadership qualities, civic awareness and a sense of national responsibility.
• To promote active youth participation in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027 initiative.
• To enhance students’ knowledge through a competitive online quiz.
• To motivate students to contribute innovative ideas towards the development of the nation.
Activity Report:
T.K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara, organised the My Bharat Quiz on 30 September 2026 at 2:30 PM in the Seminar Hall as part of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027 initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports through My Bharat. The programme aimed to encourage student participation in the national youth engagement initiative and familiarise students with the vision of Viksit Bharat. The quiz served as the first stage of the Viksit Bharat Challenge Track, providing young people with an opportunity to participate in a structured journey focused on ideas, leadership and nation-building. The event was organised under the coordination of Dr. Chalana S. R., Nodal Officer, with the support of Ganga Uma, Campus Ambassador, and the college authorities. Students were informed about the quiz and encouraged to participate. The competition was conducted in
online mode and consisted of 20 questions carrying a total of 20 marks, with a duration of 10 minutes and one attempt per participant. Participants were instructed to bring fully charged mobile phones with reliable internet connectivity to complete the quiz. The programme provided an opportunity for students to engage with a national-level youth initiative and reflect on their responsibilities in shaping India's future. It also encouraged competitive spirit, independent thinking and awareness of leadership and nation-building.
Outcomes
1. Students gained awareness of the Viksit Bharat vision and the objectives of VBYLD2027.
2. The programme encouraged youth participation in a national initiative promoting leadership and nation-building.
3. Students had an opportunity to assess their knowledge through a competitive online quiz.
4. The activity promoted digital participation, self-learning and a spirit of healthy competition.
5. The programme reinforced the importance of youth involvement in India's social and national development.
Conclusion
The My Bharat Quiz was conducted as an initiative to promote youth engagement, leadership awareness and the vision of Viksit Bharat among college students. The programme aligned with the institution's commitment to student development, civic responsibility and nation-building.

• To promote the message of a Nasha Mukt Yuva for viksith Bharath (Drug-Free India) through creative slogans.
• To develop students’ creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills. • To motivate youth to take an active role in preventing drug abuse and spreading awareness among their peers and society.
Activity Report:
The My Bharat initiative, under the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, organised a Slogan Writing Competition titled “Words for Change” at T.K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara, Haripad, Alappuzha, on 30 September 2026 at 1:30 PM in the college library.
The programme aimed to create awareness among youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, responsible and drug-free society through creative expression. Students were encouraged to develop original, concise and impactful slogans highlighting the importance of staying away from drugs and building a drug-free future.
The competition provided an opportunity for students to express their ideas and contribute to the message of the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat campaign. The activity was coordinated by Dr. Chalana S. R., Nodal Officer, with Ganga Uma, Campus Ambassador, under the guidance of Dr. Venu S., Principal-in-Charge.
The programme sought to strengthen students’ awareness of the consequences of substance abuse, encourage responsible choices and promote youth participation in creating a healthier society.
Outcome:
1. The competition encouraged students to express their ideas and messages against substance abuse through creative slogans.
2. Students developed their creativity, communication skills, and social awareness.
3. The programme motivated students to act as ambassadors of a drug-free society by spreading awareness among their peers and the community.
4. The activity strengthened the commitment of youth towards the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat (Drug-Free India).
"My Bharat" Portal Registration Drive on 28th September 2026
Objectives:
• To register eligible students and youth on the official My Bharat Portal.
• To facilitate the creation of individual My Bharat profiles and enable students to obtain their unique MY Bharat ID.
• To explore and provide opportunities for youth participation in volunteering, learning, and leadership activities.
• To empower students to become active contributors to nation-building and the overall Viksit Bharat journey.
• To assist students with convenient, on-the-spot registration using their mobile phones.
Activity Report:
T.K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara, Haripad, Alappuzha organized the "MyBharat Portal Registration Drive" on September 28, 2026, at 12:30 PM in the Seminar Hall. The event aimed to encourage youth participation in India's nation-building movement by guiding students through the registration process on the official My Bharat Portal. During the drive, all eligible students were invited to bring their mobile phones for on-the-spot registration. Participants were guided to log in to the official portal, complete their profiles, and obtain their MY Bharat IDs, enabling them to access opportunities in volunteering, leadership, learning, and active participation in the Viksit Bharat journey.
The program was organized under the leadership of Dr. Chalana S. R. (Nodal Officer), Ganga Uma (Campus Ambassador), and Dr. Venu S. (Principal in Charge). For further inquiries and registration support, contact numbers were provided for the Nodal Officer (9645671997) and the Campus Ambassador (9605665915).
Key Highlights of the Drive:
1. Awareness Session: Student volunteers provided a comprehensive introductory presentation on the significance of the MY Bharat Portal, highlighting how it serves as a unified platform for youth engagement in the Viksit Bharat journey.
2. On-the-Spot Registration: Students brought their mobile phones to complete live, step-by-step profile creation on the portal.
3. Data Collection: Student profiles were finalized, and their unique MY Bharat IDs were formally collected and archived by the organizing committee.
Outcome: A total of 74 students successfully registered on the portal during the drive andreceived their MY Bharat IDs

The Department of Economics, T. K. Madhava Memorial College,
Nangiarkulangara, organized a one-day seminar on “Fiscal Federalism in India:
Recent Developments and Emerging Issues” on 18 August 2026 at 10.00 a.m. at the
College Seminar Hall. The programme was organized with the objective of
providing students with a deeper understanding of the nature, significance and contemporary
challenges of fiscal federalism in India.
The seminar was graced by Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar B,
Principal, Government College Chittur,
Palakkad, as the Resource Person. His expertise and academic insights enriched
the programme and provided the participants with a comprehensive understanding
of the changing dimensions of fiscal relations between the Union and State
Governments.
The programme commenced with a prayer by the students,
followed by the welcome speech delivered by Smt. Seena V, Head of the
Department of Economics. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. Venu S,
Principal of the College. The felicitation was offered by Smt. Preetha M. V.,
Assistant Professor, Department of History.
