World Environment Day Celebrations 2023

Department of Zoology has
observed WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY on JUNE 5 th at TKMMC campus.
The theme for World Environment Day 2023, focused on solutions to plastic
pollution under the campaign # Beat Plastic Pollution #. The world is
being inundated by plastic.The day helps to raise awareness about the
environment and the damage that human activities do to it. Earth is a home for
different living organisms. On World Environment Day, individuals are urged to
protect and preserve the environment through their actions.
As
a part of environment day, the students of the Zoology Department decided to
clean and maintain the existing butterfly garden, fruit orchard and the pond
nearby, which has been planted in the 2022 Environmental day. Moreover, the
students collected the plastic debris from the campus. All the students from 1st
year and 2 nd year, along
with their tutors , actively participated in the program.The Head of the
Department delivered the Environmental
day message.
