POST GRADUATE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY (3^rd October 2023)

Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within any community is of paramount importance for several reasons. Clean surroundings lead to a healthier environment, reduced chances of diseases, and an enhanced quality of life for everyone involved. Recognizing the significance of cleanliness, the Post Graduate Department of Chemistry at T.K.M.M. College, Nangiarkulangra took a proactive step by organizing a "Clean Campus" program on 3rd October 2023, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanthi.

  The active participation of the students from S1 Chemistry and IC classes demonstrated their eagerness to contribute positively to their educational environment. Under the guidance and coordination of the Dr. T. R. Smitha, Head of the Department and dedicated teachers, the students engaged in various cleaning activities to beautify the campus. One of the significant tasks undertaken by the students was the removal of weeds and grass from the garden area. This effort not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the campus but also created a clean and pleasant space for everyone to enjoy. 

In conclusion, the "Clean Campus" program organized by the Post Graduate Department of Chemistry at T.K.M.M. College, Nangiarkulangra, stands as a shining example of how collective efforts, guided by a sense of responsibility and led by passionate individuals, can create a positive impact. By instilling the values of cleanliness and hygiene in the minds of the students, the event not only transformed the physical environment but also nurtured responsible citizens who understand the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy community.
