Free Meals Project: NSS in collaboration with ACCOK, Haripad

The NSS unit of T. K. Madhava Memorial College, in a commendable collaboration with the Association of Charitable and Cultural Organizations of Kerala (ACCOK) Haripad, launched the impactful "Free Meals Project" on the 4th of December 2023, commencing at 1:00 pm. This noble initiative was conceived with the noble purpose of distributing free food kits, locally referred to as "pothichor," throughout the Haripad town.

The devoted volunteers of the NSS unit took proactive measures, meticulously arranging and stocking a designated food alamara situated in close proximity to the Government General Hospital. This concerted effort ensured the availability of 50 meals, thereby addressing the immediate needs of those facing food insecurity within the community.

     The categorical success of this altruistic endeavor can be attributed to the dedicated guidance and leadership provided by Mr. Sanoop Sivaraman, the NSS Program Officer, and Dr. Sreejith Krishnan, also an NSS Program Officer. Their unwavering commitment and strategic direction played a pivotal role in orchestrating the seamless execution of the project.

It is crucial to acknowledge and appreciate the collective efforts of all NSS volunteers who actively participated in different capacities, each contributing significantly to the overall achievement of the Free Meals Project. Through their selfless contributions, the volunteers exemplified the spirit of community service and demonstrated the positive impact that collaborative efforts can have in addressing essential needs within our society. This initiative serves as a shining example of how educational institutions and community organizations can synergize their efforts for the greater good, leaving an indelible mark on the well-being of the Haripad community.
