Brief report of the meeting:

            A parents’ meeting of S3 Chemistry and S3 IC students was arranged on 05^th December, 2023. In the meeting, a variety of issues were addressed regarding the students’ performance, talents and fears in the study and also their all-round development.

The PTA meeting commenced by Saneeshkumar N (S3 IC Tutor) welcoming all the Parents and Teachers. Dr. Smitha T. R., Head of the Departmnet, rendered the presidential address, in which she introduced the faculty members to the parents and stressed on the efforts taken by the faculty members to improve students’ knowledge because they were the corona batch students (during higher secondary periods) who have studied focus area portion, hence lack fundamentals. She then talked about the lack of concentration of students,their social media addiction, attendance shortage etc.She further requested the parents to keep a close attention on the study activities of their child, and to further keep in constant touch with the teachers to monitor their performance.

College Principal Dr P.P. Sharmila, Maths department HOD Dr. Renjini, Physics Department faculty Dr. Sreejith and all faculty members of chemistry department had an interaction with parents.

          Students CE report was given to all the parents and explained them about their performance. A lengthy interaction, moderated by tutors of both classess then ensued between parents and teachers regarding the performance of the students.

The meeting was concluded with Deepthi S (S3 Chemistry tutor) delivering the vote of thanks.

Decisions taken:

·        Parents were encouraged to communicate with teachers via phone to discuss any concerns that might assist the teacher in understanding the needs of the individuals.

·t            The feedback on the program was collected from the parents after the meeting.
