On the auspicious day of December 20, 2023, the vibrant campus of TKMM College in Nangiarkulangara resonated with intellectual fervour and scholarly enthusiasm as it hosted the inauguration of "Darshan 2023," a multidisciplinary seminar series. The seminar is jointly organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and various departments, further strengthened by the support extended by the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). This collective initiative aimed to create a comprehensive and enriching experience for the academic community, fostering collaboration among different entities within the educational ecosystem. The air was charged with anticipation as students, faculty members, and esteemed guests filled the hall, creating an atmosphere of scholarly camaraderie.

  

The formal proceedings commenced with the eloquent welcome address by Dr. T. Sreeja, IQAC Coordinator, who set the stage for the intellectual journey ahead. The audience was then captivated by the presidential address delivered by Dr. P. P. Sharmila, the Principal of TKMM College. Her words resonated with the significance of embracing multidisciplinary knowledge in the ever-evolving landscape of education.

The highlight of the inauguration was the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and the spirit of inquiry that "Darshan 2023" aimed to promote. Prof. (Dr.) N. Gopakumar, the Controller of Examination, University of Kerala, graced the occasion with his presence and officially inaugurated the seminar series. His inaugural address emphasized the role of such events in shaping well-rounded individuals capable of navigating the complexities of the modern world. Professor Gopakumar, urged students to feel free to approach him with any questions or concerns they may have about university exams. He was also mindful in establishing a welcoming and conducive environment.

Dr. S. R. Rajeev (HoD & Associate Professor of Economics) and Sheela (HoD & Associate Professor of Zoology), esteemed guests at the event, delivered felicitations. Their words of encouragement and appreciation for the initiative resonated with the audience, highlighting the importance of academic collaboration. Dr. Sreeja V, the Technical Coordinator, expressed gratitude on behalf of the organizing committee. She thanked the guests, speakers, participants, and everyone involved in making Darshan 2023 a reality.

The interactive nature of the seminar series was evident from the active participation of more than 150 students. Students from different academic backgrounds mingled with faculty members, creating an environment conducive to cross-disciplinary dialogue. The diverse assembly was a testament to the college's commitment to providing a platform that transcends disciplinary boundaries and fosters a holistic approach to education. Their eagerness to engage in intellectual discourse, ask probing questions, and share insights enriched the overall experience. HoDs & Faculty members, too, played a crucial role in guiding discussions and providing valuable perspectives, ensuring that the seminar series lived up to its promise of being a multidimensional intellectual endeavour.
