Empowering Women’s Health - SHE (Sustainable Health Enhancement)

    On October 16, 2023, the “Empowering Women’s Health - SHE (Sustainable Health Enhancement)” event took place at the College Seminar Hall of TK Madhava Memorial College. It was organized jointly by the Women’s Cell of TK Madhava Memorial College, the Ayush Homeopathy Department, the Government of Kerala, and the Haripad Municipality.

    The event was inaugurated by Sri. Ramesh Chennithala, the Haripad MLA, and it was presided over by Sri K M Raju, Chairman of the Haripad Municipality. This event, organized in relation to the golden jubilee celebrations of the Ayush Homeopathy Department, aimed to empower women by addressing critical health issues and providing them with valuable insights and information.

    The event began with invocation (Daivadashakam) by Women’s Cell convener, Smt. Sarsha T S, followed by a keynote address by Smt. Subhi Prajith, Vice-Chairperson, Haripad Municipality. Smt. Subhi Prajith emphasized the importance of sustainable health enhancement for women in the community.

    Dr. Princi Sebastian, District Medical Officer, Homeo, Alappuzha, presented an insightful and comprehensive overview of the SHE campaigns, highlighting its significance and goals in promoting women’s health.

    Following the inaugural session, a seminar was held on the theme of “Good Health Practice,” which included discussions on critical topics such as menstrual health and stress management in women. Dr. Sini S, Medical Officer, Government Homeo Dispensary, Karuvatta, led the seminar, providing valuable insights and guidance to empower women with the knowledge and tools for maintaining good health.

    The seminar drew a remarkable attendance, with 127 enthusiastic participants actively engaging in the discussions and workshops to promote women’s health and well-being.

    The “Empowering Women’s Health - SHE (Sustainable Health Enhancement)” seminar was a resounding success, providing valuable information and resources to enhance the health and well-being of women in the community. The event showcased the collective efforts of the Women's Cell, Ayush Homeopathy Department, Government of Kerala, and Haripad Municipality in advancing the cause of women’s health.
