As part of ED EXPO 2026, the Department of Mathematics actively participated with innovative entrepreneurial initiatives aimed at developing creativity, leadership qualities, teamwork, and business skills among students. The programme provided students with a valuable platform to explore and experience entrepreneurship through practical activities and group participation.
The event was conducted on 4th February 2026 with enthusiastic participation from students of all batches. The third-year students of the department prepared and sold delicious food items including spicy Kaada Mutta and tangy Pani Puri. The items were completely prepared, organized, and managed by the students themselves. Their sincere effort, coordination, and teamwork made the food stall highly attractive and successful. The tasty food items received excellent appreciation from teachers, students, and staff members.
The second-year students organized a stall named “Fashions Hug”, which included a variety of fashionable and useful items such as dresses, dresses for kids, artificial jewellery, rings, hair clips, and stationery items for girls. The first-year students also actively cooperated in arranging and selling the products, making the programme a combined effort of all batches in the department.
The programme helped students develop several important qualities such as leadership, communication skills, self-confidence, team spirit, cooperation, responsibility, and entrepreneurial thinking. Such activities encourage students to become independent, creative, and socially active individuals capable of organizing and managing programmes effectively.
Teachers from various departments, office staff, and students of the college visited the stalls, purchased the products, and wholeheartedly supported the initiative. Their encouragement greatly motivated the students and contributed to the grand success of the programme.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Sri. Salikumar, RDC Convenor, at 11.00 a.m. The overall coordinator of ED EXPO 2026 was Smt. Nisha T.V., Department of Commerce.
