 Victorious Minds: Triumph at Navakeralam '23 Keralappiravi Quiz Competition


    On the 3rd of November 2023, the TKMM College Library and the Department of Malayalam orchestrated the intellectually charged Navakeralam '23 Keralappiravi Quiz Competition.






     Team 4, led by Arunima Rajesh and Sudeesh S from S3 IC, clinched the first position, while Team 1, featuring Fathima A and Arya A from S3 Zoology, secured the second position. The third spot was claimed by Team 3, comprising Devika S Krishnan and Vani V from S5 Zoology. 







    The distinguished orator, Mr. Sajeesh Kottayam, Vice-chairman of SNDP Youth Movement Central Committee, graced the occasion to award the well-deserved certificates, marking a celebration of knowledge and achievement.

    A spirited essay writing competition on the illustrious R Sankar unfolded, capturing the essence of his transformative contributions. The participants eloquently delved into the life and legacy of R Sankar, showcasing their admiration and understanding of this iconic figure. In recognition of their insightful contributions, deserving winners were honored with prizes during the celebratory function, marking a collective tribute to the visionary leader, R Sankar.

 Tech Horizon: Navigating Diverse Paths in ComputePro

    The allure of the future in technology beckoned on November 21, 2023, as TKMM College's Women Empowerment Cell and GTec Computer Centre, Haripad, came together to present "Tech Horizon." Subtitled "Navigating Diverse Paths in ComputePro," the seminar, held at the College Seminar Hall at 11:00 AM, featured the esteemed speaker, Anwar Sathic, All Kerala Marketing Manager at G Tec Group of Institutions.





    The event commenced with the melodious invocation by the Women Empowerment Cell Choir, setting a harmonious tone for the enlightening session. Ms. Sarsha T S, the Convenor of the Women Empowerment Cell, extended a warm welcome, inviting everyone on a journey to explore a plethora of computer courses tailored to individual interests within the ComputePro realm.






    Dr. P P Sharmila, the Principal of TKMM College, took the stage with a Presidential Address, emphasizing the significance of embracing technology and its transformative potential. Anwar Sadiq, the Keynote Speaker, illuminated the audience with insights into the dynamic world of ComputePro, unraveling diverse paths that lie ahead.






    Dr. Rajeev S R, the Head of the Department of Economics, graced the occasion with words of felicitation, acknowledging the importance of such seminars in shaping the educational landscape. The Vote of Thanks was eloquently delivered by Ms. Sreya Sasikumar, a student of V Semester, BA English, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event.

Sariga from the 3rd semester BA Economics was awarded the Best Feedback Prize, recognizing her outstanding contributions. This accolade highlights her dedication to excellence and sets an inspiring example within the academic community.





    "Tech Horizon" not only unfolded the technological landscape but also sparked inspiration among students, teachers, and non-teaching faculty. The event was a harmonious blend of knowledge dissemination and interactive engagement, opening up vistas of possibilities in the ever-evolving world of technology.

 Tally Commerce Aptitude Test

Computer Education (21 Nov 2023)


A collaborative effort between G Tec Computer Education and the PG Department of Commerce for the fourth installment of TCAT (Tally Commerce Aptitude Test) 2023, was held on November 21, 2023, at 2 pm. This partnership underscores our commitment to fostering excellence in Accounting and Computerized Accounting.

The aptitude test was strategically crafted to assess students' foundational skills and knowledge in the realms of Accounting and computerized accounting. It served as an engaging platform for students to actively demonstrate their proficiency in these critical areas. The level of participation was exceptional, with 42 students eagerly contributing their insights and expertise.




The winners of the aptitude test have been duly recognized with cash prizes, a token of appreciation for their outstanding performance. Their achievements not only set a high standard for academic excellence but also serve as an inspiration for their peers.

The TCAT 2023, a collaborative endeavour between G Tech Computer Education and the P G Department of Commerce, concluded at 4 pm, marking the successful culmination of an eventful day dedicated to enhancing our students' understanding and application of accounting principles.

 Commendation for Danoop D's Bronze Medal in 

Weightlifting Championship


We express heartfelt appreciation to Sri. Danoop D, a 1st sem B.Com student, for securing the Bronze Medal in the recent Weightlifting Championship (category 55) at Kerala University. Danoop's dedication and achievement reflect not only his personal commitment but also the supportive environment provided by our esteemed institution.

Danoop's success is not only a testament to his individual skills but also a reflection of the holistic approach to education promoted by our college. The Physical Education Department, under the capable leadership of Smt. Navya P E, has played a pivotal role in nurturing and honing the athletic talents of our students. Navya's dedication to fostering a culture of physical fitness and sportsmanship has contributed significantly to the overall development of our students.



We take pride in the collaborative efforts of our students, faculty, and administrative bodies that collectively contribute to the success stories of our college. Career guidance programme on “Become an 

Industry Ready  Accountant & Logistics 

professional based on SAP”

   The PG Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the Cochin Institute of Accountants, organized a career guidance program titled "Become an Industry-Ready Accounts & Logistics Professional based on SAP" on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 2:30 pm. The event was specifically tailored for final year B.Com students of the Post Graduate Department of Commerce.

    



The focus of the program was on introducing students to the Student Academy Program, a renowned enterprise business system extensively used by major organizations worldwide to efficiently run their operations. The session, led by the speaker Muhammed Bakhir M, provided insights into the diverse career opportunities available for aspiring accounts and logistics professionals.

 The speaker highlighted the comprehensive career services offered, including soft skill training, resume building sessions, mock interview sessions, and access to various job opportunities. The students actively participated in the program, showing great enthusiasm and interest. The session concluded at 4 pm, leaving the students better informed about the potential career paths in the field of accounts and logistics, particularly in the context of utilizing SAP.


 HIV Awareness Program (Kathaprasangam-

On November 14, 2023, the Kerala State Health Department, in collaboration with the Health Club and NSS unit of T.K. Madhava Memorial College Nangiarkulangara, organized an HIV awareness program featuring the renowned Kathaprasangam artist, Smt. Zeenath Pallikara. The event took place at the college auditorium and aimed to provide informative and motivational insights into HIV awareness.

Smt. Zeena Pallikara, a celebrated Kathaprasangam artist, delivered a powerful and informative message on HIV awareness through her art form. Her performance not only captivated the audience but also effectively conveyed the significance of understanding and preventing HIV. Through the medium of Kathaprasangam, she engaged the audience, spreading awareness in an engaging and memorable manner.

The program saw the active participation of Smt. Sreedevi, Health Inspector (Cheppad Health Centre), who provided valuable insights into the current health scenario, emphasizing the importance of awareness and prevention of HIV. Her presence added a practical and professional dimension to the event.








The entire program was efficiently coordinated by the Health Club and NSS unit of T.K M M College. NSS Program Officer, Sir. Sanoop Sivaraman, extended a warm welcome to the gathering, setting a positive tone for the event. The coordination ensured a smooth flow of the program, allowing for maximum engagement and participation. The event was graced by a felicitation from Sreejith R. Krishnan (NSS Program Officer), acknowledging the efforts put in by all stakeholders towards spreading HIV awareness. Dr. Jasmine Anand, Health Club Coordinator, expressed a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the collaboration and the valuable contributions from the guests and participants.

The program saw enthusiastic participation from all students, members of the health club, and second-year students (50 Students), demonstrating the success of the event in reaching the college community. The interactive nature of the Kathaprasangam performance ensured that the message resonated effectively with the audience.

The HIV awareness program at T.K MM College Nangiarkulangara proved to be a successful and impactful initiative. The collaboration between the Kerala State Health Department, Health Club, and NSS unit, along with the participation of Kathaprasangam artist Smt. Zeena Pallikara and Health Inspector Smt. Sreedevi, contributed to creating a holistic and engaging awareness session. Such events play a crucial role in educating and sensitizing communities about important health issues, fostering a sense of responsibility and awareness among the youth.

 Road and Safety Awareness Class

Motor vehicles, Govt.of Kerala (14 Nov 2023)




The First Aid Charitable Trust, in collaboration with the Department of Motor Vehicles, Government of Kerala, inaugurated its activities for the year 2023-24 in Alappuzha district. The inaugural function took place at T.K Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara, on November 14, 2023, at 11:30 am in the college seminar hall. Approximately 127 attendees participated in the session.

First Aid Charitable Trust, established in 2018, is a charitable trust committed to providing hope and assistance to the less privileged. Their dedication to uplifting communities and individuals in need is the driving force behind their work. In times of crisis and disaster, First Aid takes the lead in providing immediate relief to the affected. They act as a supporting system for mankind by offering relief activities, rehabilitation services, disaster management, blood donation drives, medical camps, and support and shelter for the elderly.






The Kerala Motor Vehicles Department, regulated by the Government of Kerala under the provisions of Section 213 of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, is responsible for vehicle registration, issuance of driving licenses, permits, collection of road taxes, and vehicular pollution control.

The session commenced with a prayer by Ms. Rajalekshmi (B.Sc. Zoology), infusing positive energy into the hearts of the attendees. Dr. S. Sheela, the Staff Association Secretary & HoD, Department of Zoology, delivered a warm welcome address, sharing a personal experience related to road accidents. Dr. Vinod Haridas, Associate Professor of Botany, invited dignitaries to light the lamp, officially inaugurating the function. The inaugural address was given by Sri Antony K.C., RTO, Enforcement, Alappuzha.

The session was further enhanced by felicitations from Sri Saneesh Kallokadan, State President of First Aid, and Sri Sundar Iyer, GM Marketing at Luminis School of Medical Scribing. Following the felicitations, the core of the session began. Motor Vehicles Inspector, Alappuzha, Sri Sunil, delivered an awareness talk on road safety, focusing on various aspects of road accidents through photos and records of past incidents in the locality. He engaged the audience with enthusiasm, making the session interesting. Ms. Anagha Raj, Vice Chairperson, Kerala University Union, proposed the vote of thanks, and the formal session concluded with the National Anthem sung by Ms. Sahira and Ms. Rajalekshmi (B.Sc. Zoology).

The session offered an interesting and thought-provoking experience that helped students understand the threats of accidents and the importance of adhering to road safety rules.
