A Vibrant Day of Celebration: Commerce Association and Freshers Day 2023
On November 1, 2023, the college campus came alive with excitement as the Commerce Association Day and Freshers Day were celebrated. This day proved to be a resounding success, a true testament to the dedication and hard work of all those involved.
The festivities commenced with the serene Daiva Dasakam, setting a harmonious tone for the day. Mr. Anand Raj, serving as the President of the Department Association, extended a warm welcome to all attendees through a heartfelt speech. Following this, Smt. Divya P Bhadran, the head of the department, delivered an inspiring address that filled the audience with motivation.
Dr. S R Rajeev, the esteemed head of the Department of Economics, officially inaugurated the event, marking the official commencement of the day's celebrations. Dr. Sreeja T, assistant professor, PG Department of Chemistry and Ms. Nisha T V, assistant professor, department of Commerce, further emphasized the significance of the occasion through their speeches, underlining its importance.
A unique competition titled "Mr. and Mrs. Malayali Manga" celebrated Kerala Piravi, the day on which Kerala was formed, on November 1st. This competition allowed the embrace of cultural heritage in a fun and spirited manner. The Commerce Department students added to the enjoyment with a variety of entertaining activities and performances.
The day also featured a delightful communal lunch, providing a pleasant interlude for everyone to enjoy good food and camaraderie.
As the clock approached 4:30 PM, Aswin P G, the Department Association Secretary, expressed gratitude to all, recognizing their contributions in making the day truly remarkable.
