Kazhcha '23: A Visual Journey Through Kerala's Rich Heritage

    From the 1st to the 7th of November 2023, an enlightening photo exhibition unfolded, aptly named Kazhcha '23, organized by the Department of Malayalam. This captivating event, deeply intertwined with the essence of Kerala Piravi, offered a visual odyssey through the annals of history and culture.

    The exhibition showcased an array of mesmerizing photographs, delving into the intricacies of ancient scripts in Malayalam and Tamil, such as Vattezhuthu and Kolezhuthu. It offered a glimpse into the world of ancient coins, literary treasures, iconic writers and their handwritten manuscripts. The collection was an eclectic mix, featuring caricatures, cartoons, art forms, musical instruments, and much more.

    At the helm of this grand event was Smt. K V Lekha, the Head, the Department of Malayalam, whose leadership and vision ensured the resounding success of the exhibition. Dr. Rajeev SR, Head, Department of Economics, along with Sri. Abhilash Y, an Assistant Professor on contract in the Department of Malayalam, played pivotal roles in orchestrating this visual journey through time.

    The exhibition drew a diverse audience, with teachers, staff, and students from various departments of the College enthusiastically exploring its treasures. The event not only served as a delightful experience but also served as a medium to impart the rich history and culture of Kerala to all attendees at a profound level.
