 Inter-collegiate training programme on FYUGP

conducted by University of Kerala @ TKMM College, 

Nangiarkulangara

    In a concerted effort to enhance the quality of education and teaching methodologies, the University of Kerala recently organized an insightful inter-collegiate training programme on the Foundation Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP). The event, which took place at TKMM College, was presided over by the esteemed Principal, Dr. P. P. Sharmila, and warmly welcomed by Dr. M. Preeth, FYUGP Coordinator. The programme witnessed the participation of 75 enthusiastic teachers from various disciplines, all eager to enrich their teaching practices.

The training programme featured distinguished resource persons who shared their expertise and insights. Dr. Nair Anup Chandrasekharan, Assistant Professor of English at Bishopmoore College, Mavelikara, enlightened the audience on innovative teaching strategies and the importance of language proficiency in student learning. Dr. Arun S Prasad, HoD of Physics at TKMM College, Nangiarkulangara, delved into effective ways to integrate practical applications and experiments into the curriculum based on OBE, enhancing the students' understanding and interest in the subject.















The sessions were engaging and interactive, with participants actively exchanging ideas and experiences. The training programme not only provided valuable insights into contemporary teaching methodologies but also served as a platform for networking and collaboration among educators from different colleges.

Dr. T. Sreeja, IQAC Coordinator of TKMM College, extended gratitude to all the resource persons for their enlightening sessions. Their expertise and dedication to improving education were truly commendable. She also congratulated all the participants from TKMMC, IHRD-CAS, & SD College, Alappuzha for their active involvement and eagerness to enhance their teaching skills.

Such initiatives play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and development among educators. I am confident that the knowledge and insights gained from this training programme will greatly benefit our students and contribute to the overall academic excellence of our institutions.
