TKMM College Nanagirkulangara held a prestigious ceremony to honor its academic achievers and rank holders on 31 July 2023 at College Auditorium. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Sri. Vellappally Natesan, Honorable Manager, SN Trusts, adding a touch of honor and significance to the occasion. The college celebrated the outstanding achievements of its students in various disciplines, acknowledging their dedication, hard work, and commitment to academic excellence.

The ceremony commenced with the felicitation of Vishnupriya K, who secured the first rank in B.Sc. Physics in the University of Kerala. Her remarkable accomplishment was recognized through a series of awards and honors:

Momento: Vishnupriya K received a beautifully crafted memento, symbolizing her exceptional achievement and dedication.

Cash Prize by PTA: The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of TKMM College honored Vishnupriya K with a cash prize of Rs. 5,000/- in recognition of her remarkable academic performance.

Cash Award by PG Department of Physics: The Department of Physics extended its appreciation to Vishnupriya K by presenting her with a cash award of Rs. 5,000/-, highlighting her excellence in academics.

Gold Medal by Staff Association: The Staff Association of the college bestowed upon Vishnupriya K a prestigious gold medal as a symbol of her exemplary achievement and dedication.

Adithya G: Adithya G, securing the fourth rank in B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry, was acknowledged for his dedication and outstanding performance.

Amrutha A S: Amrutha A S, achieving the third rank in M.Sc. Chemistry (with Specilaization in Drug Design & Development), was applauded for her academic excellence and commitment to the field of chemistry.

TKMMC Initiative on Independence Day

NCC cadets of TKMM college has made awareness campaign about "Meri Maati Mera Desh" as a culminating event of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.  It is a tribute to the Veers and Veeranganas who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country. "Meri Maati Mera Desh" envisions a unified celebration of India's soil and valour, commemorating the nation's journey of freedom and progress. By connecting with the land and honoring our heroes, this program will instill a sense of national pride and inspire future generations to protect India's cherished heritage. 52 cadets participated in the programme.




The NCC cadets of TKMM College took a significant step towards environmental conservation and sustainability as they launched the "Meri Maati Mera Desh" initiative, aiming to transform the college campus into a plastic-free zone. The initiative, driven by a deep sense of responsibility towards the environment, saw the enthusiastic participation of the NCC cadets who are dedicated to creating a positive impact on their surroundings.

The event, which took place on 15 August, 2023, witnessed a collective effort to eliminate plastic waste from the college premises. NCC cadets, donning their uniforms and armed with determination, took on the challenge of raising awareness about the detrimental effects of plastic and taking concrete steps towards a greener and cleaner campus.

The "Meri Maati Mera Desh" initiative included the following activities:

Plastic Collection Drive: NCC cadets enthusiastically gathered plastic waste from various areas of the college campus, including classrooms, corridors, and outdoor spaces. This hands-on approach allowed them to experience firsthand the extent of plastic pollution and its impact on the environment.

Awareness Campaign: The cadets organized an awareness campaign, educating their fellow students and college staff about the importance of reducing plastic usage and the benefits of a plastic-free environment. Informative posters, presentations, and discussions highlighted the urgency of the issue.

Plantation Drive: As a positive countermeasure, the NCC cadets also planted trees and plants on the campus, symbolizing their commitment to nurturing the environment and ensuring a healthier future.

Pledge Taking: The initiative concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony, during which NCC cadets and participants pledged to reduce their plastic consumption and actively contribute to creating a plastic-free campus.

Visit of Hon. Manager, SN Trusts, Sri

Vellappally Natesan  & Felicitation of TKMM 

College for NAAC 'A' Grade  (31 July, 2023)


On 31 July 2023, TKMM College, Nangiarkulangara had the privilege of hosting a distinguished guest, Vellappally Natesan, the esteemed Manager of SN Trusts. The visit marked a significant milestone as the college was recently awarded the 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The event also encompassed the felicitation of rank holders of undergraduate and postgraduate university exams, the celebration of Merit Day, the distribution of the TK Madhava Memorial Scholarship, and the recognition of outstanding students in sports, arts and other extracurricular activities.

Sri. Vellappally Natesan's visit was a momentous occasion for TKMM College. His presence was a testament to the college's dedication to academic excellence and holistic education.     The staff association of TKMM College Nanagirkulangara expressed their heartfelt thanks to Sri. Natesan for his continuous support and guidance in fostering a conducive learning environment and nurturing well-rounded individuals by presentation of a special memento—a carefully selected and intricately crafted Buddha statue. The Buddha statue, revered for its symbolism of wisdom, compassion, and enlightenment, was chosen as a meaningful token of appreciation to express the depth of gratitude felt by the staff association and the entire college community. Also, the statue serves as a reminder of the noble values and aspirations that Sri. TKMMC celebrates Independence Day  

(15 August 2023)


The 77th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm at TKMM College, Nangiarkulangara. The event was jointly organized by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and the National Service Scheme (NSS), under the able guidance of Dr. S R Rajeev, on behalf of our Principal Dr. P. P. Sharmila.

The celebrations commenced at 7:30 AM with the hoisting of the National Flag by Dr. S. R. Rajeev, in the presence of students, faculty members, and staff. The tricolor fluttered proudly in the clear sky, symbolizing the freedom and unity of our nation.












The NCC cadets played a significant role in conducting a March Fast, showcasing their discipline and commitment to the nation. The synchronized and precise movements of the cadets were a testament to their dedication and hard work put into their training.

Simultaneously, the NSS volunteers actively engaged in various cleaning activities around the college campus as part of their commitment to social service and community betterment. They took upon themselves the responsibility of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, emphasizing the importance of a clean environment for the well-being of society.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed teachers, staff members, and students. Their enthusiastic participation and wholehearted involvement added a sense of unity and pride to the celebrations. The patriotic fervor was palpable as everyone stood together to honor the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and to pledge their commitment to a strong and progressive India.

“Niraputhari", History Seminar and Interaction

 with Padmasree Cheruvayal Raman

NSS volunteers of the College attended and actively participated in the Historic ‘’Niraputhari Festival which embarks the season of harvest“ in Haripad Treasury which is only one of its kind in Kerala where a Sub- Treasury participates in the rituals and pooja held at Subrahamaniya Temple Haripad and the strands of paddy are placed in the sub treasury office .

History seminar was conducted on behalf of this program and Padmasree awardee Sri Cheruvayal Raman delivered key note address. Then students got opportunity to interact about various agricultural practices with Padmasree Cheruvayal Raman.

 Strengthening Bonds: PTA Meeting Nurtures Collaborative Growth at T K Madhava Memorial College


    The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting for B A English Semester II students (2022 admission) was held on July 25, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the AF4 classroom at T K Madhava Memorial College. The meeting aimed to foster better communication between parents and teachers to ensure the holistic development of the students.

    Dr. Parvathy U, Assistant Professor of English, extended a warm welcome to all the attendees, comprising parents, teachers, and students. She emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in shaping the academic journey of the students.

    Subsequently, all the faculty members of the English Department addressed the gathering, providing valuable insights into the curriculum, teaching methodologies, and student progress. They also highlighted various extracurricular activities and opportunities available to enhance the overall learning experience of the students.

    In the spirit of open communication, the parents were given an opportunity to express their feedback and concerns. This interactive session proved to be beneficial in understanding the individual needs of the students and exploring ways to improve their educational experience.

    The PTA meeting concluded on a positive note, with a mutual commitment from both parents and teachers to work together for the betterment of the students' academic and personal growth. The college looks forward to more such productive interactions in the future to nurture a conducive learning environment for the students.
