The Department of
Mathematics and Statistics, T.K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara,
organised a World Cup Football Quiz Program on 13 July
2026 at 1:30 PM in the Seminar Hall.
The event was open to all students of the college and witnessed enthusiastic
participation. 40 students from various departments actively participated in
the programme.
The program commenced with a welcome address by
Dr. Sinumol S, Head of the Department, who welcomed the
participants and highlighted the importance of sports and general knowledge.
The quiz was conducted by Dr. Salu S., who served as
the Quiz Master. The competition included questions on FIFA
World Cup history, legendary players, memorable matches, host nations, and
football records. The participants displayed excellent knowledge and
sportsmanship throughout the event.
The prize distribution ceremony was
conducted by the Principal, Dr. Venu S, who
congratulated the participants and presented trophies to the
winners. The Principal also appreciated the efforts of the organizers and
encouraged students to actively participate in similar academic and
co-curricular activities. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, marking
the successful completion of the event.
