National Service Scheme (15-17 September, 2023)

National service scheme of the college associated with Haripad mincipality for a three day campaign under Indian swachhata league 2.0 program. This is a flagship initiative of the central government raising the slogan “Garbage free Bharat”. Three day campaign commenced on 15^th September with a seminar on waste management and responsibility of youth named “Haritham Haripad”. NSS volunteers actively participated and interacted in the session.

Second day, NSS Volunteers along with the students of Department of Economics presented a flash mob at Haripad market, KSRTC station and Nangiarkulangara junction. Campaign named as Youth Vs Garbage was intended to spread awareness among the public for effective waste management.  Flash mobs purpose was served as it attracted the attention of public and commuters.

Green Friendly Haripad (17/09/23)

    Three day campaign concluded with a cleaning program “Green friendly haripad” at haripad town. 30 volunteers actively participated in the cleaning drive. Campaign started at 8 am with a rally and inaugurated by Hon Municipal chairman, Sri Raju K M. Aim of this cleaning drive was to enhance the participation of youth in the effective waste disposal and waste management. Program saw productive participation of elected representatives, teachers, social activists and Haritha Karma Sena volunteers. Cleaning campaign concluded at 11.30 am.
