The Post Graduate Department of Chemistry at T. K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara, successfully hosted a highly engaging workshop titled "Molecular Docking Make Simple" on Monday, June 22. True to its guiding motto—"Dock. Design. Discover. The Future of Drug Discovery Starts Here"—the event provided an immersive dive into the practical applications of computational chemistry.
Held in the state-of-the-art CADD Lab from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the three-hour intensive session was designed to demystify the complex processes behind molecular docking. Students and research scholars gathered to gain hands-on experience and a deeper theoretical understanding of computer-assisted drug design.
We were incredibly privileged to have Dr. Sreeja V., Assistant Professor at SN College Punalur, serve as the resource person. Dr. Sreeja's expertise and approachable teaching style broke down intricate computational concepts, making them highly accessible to all participants. Her insights into the future of drug discovery left the attendees both inspired and better equipped for their academic pursuits.
