To mark National Reading Day today, June 19th, T. K. Madhava Memorial College, Nangiarkulangara, is thrilled to kick off a week-long celebration of literature, imagination, and the written word. As the famous quote on our commemorative poster beautifully reminds us, "Books are a uniquely portable magic." A Week of Literary Engagement
Running from June 19 to June 25, 2026, Reading Week is designed to offer something for every type of reader—from the digital-savvy bookworm to the analytical critic. We are excited to invite all students to participate in our engaging lineup of activities:
Book Reel Challenge: Bring your favorite books to the digital screen! Showcase your creativity by crafting short, engaging video reels about the books that have moved, inspired, or challenged you.
Book Review Presentation: Step up to the podium and share your insights. This is a fantastic opportunity to critically analyze a chosen work, present your perspectives, and engage in thoughtful literary discourse with peers.
7 Days 7 Pages Challenge: Build a sustainable reading habit! Commit to reading just seven pages a day for the duration of Reading Week. It is a simple but powerful way to reconnect with the joy of daily reading.
