As part of the Reading Week Celebrations 2026, the Reading Club, in collaboration with the Department of English and the College Library, organized a Book Review Competition on 23/06/2026.
Serving as the flagship challenge of the week, this event required students to stand before an audience in the library and deliver comprehensive oral reviews of selected books. Participants were challenged to critically analyze narratives, evaluate character arcs, and articulate thematic depths. The interactive sessions tested both their literary comprehension and their public speaking abilities under pressure.
The challenges culminated in a recognition ceremony for the top literary critics of the Book Review Presentation. Faculty members evaluated the participants based on content depth, presentation style, and critical insight. Trophies were awarded to the following outstanding students:
First Prize: Devan T Babu (S5 Zoology)
Second Prize: Meenakshi A (S5 English)
