‘Job Opportunities in Medical Scribing’

In collaboration with Metrix School of Scribing, Thottappally, Alappuzha, the Department of Mathematics  organized a career orientation program on 'Job Opportunities in Medical Scribing' for final year BSc Mathematics students. The session, held on 22-02-2024, was conducted by industry expert, Mr. Sachu S Dev, HRM, Metrix School of Scribing. Dr. Preeth M, HOD, Dept of Statistics introduced the speaker to the students

A medical scribe is a professional who specialises in documenting patient encounters in real time under the direction of a physician.Medical scribing, offers a plenty of career opportunities to graduates from diverse fields. During the interactive sessions, students were enlightened about the courses offered by various institutions forscribing, required qualifications, different positions, career growth prospects, job security, and remuneration packages available in the sector.

     The speaker effectively engaged with the students by answering their queries. A mock test consisting of 15 MCQs was also conducted, providing students with a glimpse of the types of questions they can expect in exams. Dinil Dinesh, a final year BSc Mathematics student delivered vote of thanks for the program.

     The event was a great success, providing students with valuable information and guidance to pursue a rewarding career in the medical scribing field.
