Career Orientation Seminar- Department of Mathematics

In collaboration with Institute of Banking
Studies, Kayamkulam, Department of Mathematics organized a career orientation
program on ‘How to Get Prepared for a Job in Banking Sector?’ for final year
BSc Mathematics students on 21.02.2024
at 2 pm.
The
session started with a silent prayer followed by the welcome speech of Mrs.
Renjini S, HOD Mathematics.The seesions were handled by Mr. Venugopal, Course
Director at IBS, and Mr. Renju Ramesan, Students Counsellor at IBS.
Banking
sector offers a surfeit of career opportunities to graduates from diverse
fields.The experts that there is tight competition in this field and they
shared the ideas to tackle this problem successfully. They talk about the areas
to concentrate when one writes the bank exams. A mock interview was also
conducted, providing students an experience to face an interview board
confidently.
Experts effectively engaged with the
students, motivating them to pursue a fulfilling career in the banking sector.
Finally,
Adithya Hari, final year BSc Mathematics student delivered vote of thanks.
