March 2024
The
Department of Mathematics spearheaded the "Clean Campus Green Campus
Drive-2" on March 25, 2024, with a focus on revitalizing the college's
green spaces. Led by the final year BSc Mathematics students, the initiative
involved the removal of dried plants from the garden in front of the
department, which were then replaced with fresh, vibrant ones.
Despite
the scorching summer heat, the students showed admirable dedication to
enhancing the campus environment. Beyond garden rejuvenation, they also
undertook a thorough cleaning of the surrounding premises, highlighting their
commitment to maintaining a clean and green campus.
Under
the guidance of M K Sreenivasan, a faculty member of the Department of
Mathematics, the students displayed remarkable teamwork and enthusiasm. Their
efforts not only beautified the campus but also underscored the importance of
environmental stewardship and sustainable practices. The initiative serves as a
shining example of proactive community engagement and sets a precedent for
future sustainability efforts within the college.
