College psychologist Noora M conducted a psychology class in the Department of Chemistry for second and fourth-year students. The session began with an introduction to the basic concept of mental health and its impact on daily life. Through interactive discussions, students gained insight into emotions and emotional regulation techniques. Noora provided practical strategies for effective emotion regulation.
In addition to exploring emotional well-being, the session addressed prevalent issues faced by students, including bullying, friendship conflicts, and romantic relationship breakups. Noora sensitized students to important psychological disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, and anxiety, fostering awareness and understanding.
The
importance of seeking help for mental health concerns was emphasized,
encouraging students to reach out for support when needed. Overall, the session
aimed to equip students with knowledge and skills to enhance their mental
well-being and navigate challenges effectively.
