Inauguration of Certificate Course on “Scientific Waste 

Management”

The PG Department of Physics at TKMM College Nangiarkulangara, in collaboration with Northamps Global Ecosolutions, Kochi, successfully inaugurated the Certificate Course on "Scientific Waste Management" on January 5, 2024. The event, held in the college seminar hall, marked the beginning of an insightful journey towards sustainable waste practices.

The program commenced with a prayer led by the department choir. Dr. Chalana.S.R, Course Coordinator and Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, warmly welcomed the gathering. Dr. P.P Sharmila, Principal of TKMM College, delivered the Presidential Address and officially inaugurated the certificate course. Sri. Zakaria Joy, Founder and CEO of Northamps Global Ecosolutions, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. His extensive experience in waste management and notable contributions to environmental missions added significance to the event. He delivered a compelling keynote address, emphasizing the importance of the "Scientific Waste Management" course and engaging with students to enhance their understanding of the subject.

Dr. Rajeev. S.R, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Economics, and Dr. Divya Dinesh, Assistant Professor in Chemistry, felicitated the session, adding their insights to the discourse.

An interactive session ensued, sparking curiosity and discussion among the participants. The event concluded at 3.30 pm with a gracious vote of thanks from Dr. Sasankakumar.S, Assistant Professor in Physics.

This inauguration marked a significant step towards fostering environmental consciousness and scientific approaches to waste management at TKMM College.
